More English in Flemish schools.

A maximum of 15% of the courses will be taught in a foreign language – English or French – instead of Dutch.

The schools involved in the project will receive extra cash
Similar pilot-projects have been set up in other European countries before, but it is a first for Flanders.

The pupils will not be forced to take part, they have the freedom of choice.

The schools joining the project will receive subsidies to cover for the extra cost.

The project will be followed from close by and a report will be compiled.

Flemish education minister Frank Vandenbroucke (socialist) will use the report to decide about future moves towards.
